AmazonMexico in Veracruz invites a Site Procurement Manager for Operations to lead procurement for Directs and Indirects, vendor management, contracts, forecast analysis, and P2P processes across the site. The ideal candidate will drive category strategies, negotiate with suppliers, measure performance with KPI dashboards, and partner with internal customers and finance to define savings targets.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration.
  • Experience in Materials Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Operations, or Shipping Supplies.
  • Excel proficiency with pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
  • Fluent English (speaking, writing, reading).
  • Preferred: Vendor management experience.
  • Lean methodologies knowledge.
  • MBA or Master's degree in related field.
  • English proficiency at C1 level or higher.

Responsabilidades

  • Align with the Regional Procurement Manager to provide procurement operations for the building, including non-inventory services, supplier management, sourcing and negotiation, procurement transactions, and projects.
  • Establish category sourcing strategies, lead cross-functional sourcing teams, negotiate with suppliers and execute contracts.
  • Drive relationships with category suppliers to achieve cost of ownership targets.
  • Report weekly and monthly on services performance and actions needed.
  • Lead the operational procurement process.
  • Manage KPI tracking and reporting for site procurement processes.
  • Develop relationships across the building and network of Procurement and other sites.
  • Align with internal customers, Finance and Procurement Operations to define savings targets.
  • Project Management.
  • Build category metrics model to monitor performance against local strategy.
  • Measure actual vs planned savings and escalate issues with action plans.
  • Manage MBRs and QBRs.
  • Experience related to commute, logistics and transportation, employee transportation, services.

Our Procurement team is a new organization being strongly customer centric-focused by living a transformational environment needed to meet our leadership principles by working hard, having fun and making history.

We are seeking a leader with procurement experience to strategically source products and services for MX Customer Fulfillment Procurement.

As a Site Procurement Manager for Operations, you will own the procurement operation responsibilities, including category procurement for the site for Directs and indirects (Products and Services), vendor management, , contract management, forecast analysis, Procure to Pay, Category functions for network and sites day to day activities, projects and monitoring vendor performance.

You will also lead supplier management KPI´s and metrics reporting, as well as develop and work with stakeholders to find and understand deviation and improvement areas. You will provide procurement leadership for the locations and alignment with building leadership team to drive efficiencies and improvements in the building.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter, and a creative, critical thinker with a motivation to learn. You must be an effective communicator and be able to work independently and as a leader of peers to generate high-quality work product in a collaborative, creative, ever-changing, and sometimes ambiguous environment. You must have a professional demeanor and be able to partner with people at every level.

Key job responsibilities
  • Align with the Regional Procurement Manager to provide procurement operations for the building, including: non-inventory services, supplier management, sourcing and negotiation, procurement transaction, projects of innovation and expediting support as needed.
  • Establish category sourcing strategies, lead cross-functional strategic sourcing teams, negotiate with suppliers and execute contracts to optimize Amazon’s competitive position
  • Drive appropriate relationships with category suppliers, with a principal objective of achieving the optimal solution and cost of ownership that meets the business’ goals supported by a culture of continuous improvement with performance benchmarks in use
  • Reporting to the Country Procurement and Key Stakeholders key milestones on a Weekly & Monthly basis about services performance and actions needed (service, experience, improvements, new projects).
  • Lead the operational procurement process.
  • Manage related KPI to measure, control and benchmark site procurement processes including creation of recurring metrics reports.
  • Develop relationship across the building and network of Procurement and other sites.
  • Align with Internal customers, Finance and Procurement Operations to understand budgetary targets by building to develop an agreed method of measuring and defining savings, value and other category metrics.
  • Project Management.
  • Build the category metrics model based on input from the category team to track and monitor performance to the local category strategy.
  • To measure actual vs planned savings and advice team of trends, elevate issues and own action plans.
  • Manage MBRs and QBRs.
  • Experience related to Commute, Logistics and transportation, employee transportation, Services.
A day in the life
  • 1) Daily monitoring on the performance of all sites.
  • 2) Improvement opportunities related to services.
  • 3) Attend critical escalations + Action plan or task force as needed.
  • 4) Networking with key stakeholders, functions and suppliers to collaborate into the best value added improvements needed for the operation.
  • 5) identify weak and vulnerabilities on our internal operative process and flag any potential risk.
  • 6) Business Continuity process to maintain operation in case of contingencies.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration
  • Experience in the following procurement domains: Materials Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Operations, and/or Shipping Supplies
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and analytical platforms, including but not not limited to the ability to analyze data using pivots and V-Lookups
  • Speak, write, and read fluently in English
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in vendor management
  • Knowledge of Lean methodologies
  • 3+ years of logistics experienceMBA, or Master's degree in management, business administration, economics, engineering, marketing
  • Speak, write, and read fluently in English at C1 level or above
