Collins Aerospace is seeking a procurement professional to drive our procurement processes, standards, and supplier partnerships in Mexicali. You will lead RFPs, cost analyses, and negotiations to secure favorable terms while ensuring on-time delivery and quality.

You will manage supplier schedules, prepare purchase orders, and respond to production inquiries with clear English communication, supporting a global supply chain and delivering exceptional customer satisfaction.

Formación

• University degree required; <2 years prior relevant experience.
• Advanced to fluent English proficiency (written and verbal) to conduct meetings, negotiations, and day-to-day business communications.

Responsabilidades

• Responds to client inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations.
• Purchases goods, materials, supplies, and services to protect the organization’s best interests.
• Prepares purchase orders, approves payments, and negotiates prices for smooth procurement.
• Contacts suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries and resolve shortages or late deliveries.
• Manages relationships with suppliers within a commodity.
• Directs schedules and POs for client accounts or product families.
• Communicates with suppliers and stakeholders in English across a global team.

What You Will Do

• Carries out Procurement processes, standards, and operational plans, including RFPs, negotiation preparations, and cost analysis.
• Responds to client inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Carries out activities associated with purchasing goods, materials, supplies, and services to ensure terms are in the organization’s best interest.
• Prepares purchase orders, approves payments, and negotiates prices to ensure the procurement process goes smoothly, under general guidance.
• Contacts suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries to ensure resolution of problems such as shortages and missed or late deliveries.
• Responsible for all aspects of the relationship with a specific supplier within a commodity.
• Directs and manages all schedules, and purchase orders for the client account or the product family.
• Manage supplier and stakeholder communications in English, including negotiations, meetings, follow-ups, and procurement documentation, ensuring effective collaboration within a global business environment.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a University Degree and less than 2 years prior relevant experience
• Advanced to fluent English proficiency (written and verbal) required to effectively conduct meetings, negotiations, presentations, and day-to-day business communications with global suppliers and stakeholders.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience using SAP (Procurement functions, Business Warehouse, Business Objects most preferred)
• Experienced in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Experience with Supply Chain processes
