Procurement Manager

Collins Aerospace is seeking a seasoned Procurement Manager who will lead a procurement team through our dynamic procurement processes, standards, and operational strategies. As a Procurement Manager, you will set objectives and guide others on RFPs, negotiation strategy, cost accountability, and/or program execution. You will review prices, manufacturing processes, and contracts and make recommendations for changes to ensure a successful procurement process.

What You Will Do

• Manage execution of processes, standards, and operational plans in support of Procurement strategy, including RFPs, negotiation strategy, cost accountability, and/or program execution.
• Direct programs for effective vendor selection and management with a view to minimize purchasing costs without compromising quality or reliability of supply.
• Review changes in price trends and manufacturing processes and make recommendations to ensure successful procurement process.
• Manage resolution of client issues or problems.
• Monitor and coordinate suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries to ensure resolution of problems such as shortages and missed or late deliveries.
• Authorize purchase orders, negotiate prices and approve payments to support the procurement process in large territories.
• Review and assess request for proposals (RFP) and bid packages.
• Analyze and monitor contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and to help determine need for changes.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum of 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience.
• Prior experience in supply chain, operations, procurement or related field.
• Prior experience utilizing SAP.
• Advanced English proficiency with the ability to communicate fluently and professionally in both spoken and written English.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Familiarity with FAR and DFAR regulations.
• Demonstrated negotiation skills and ability to manage supplier relationships effectively.
• Experience with procurement lifecycle from quote to delivery.
• Understanding of compliance regulations, import/export rules, and government procurement procedures.
• Experience in aerospace, defense, or government contracting sectors.
