Ficosa is seeking an engineer to develop and continuously improve production processes for productivity, quality and cost reduction. The role requires collaborating with product engineers, participating in project meetings and applying DFM/A principles to optimize industrialization.

Strong knowledge in automation systems, lean manufacturing, six sigma problem solving and ISO TS would be valuable. Willingness to travel and fluent English are essential.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in electronic, mechanical automation or similar engineering.
• Fluent in local language and English (spoken, read, written).
• Willing to travel.
• Automation systems programming and design (PLC, HMI, robots, servo-drives, vision systems).
• ISO TS knowledge would be of additional value.

Responsabilidades

• Define specifications and technologic requirements for new processes.
• Ensure implementation of process standards and production improvements.
• Collaborate to analyze production problems and propose corrective actions.
• Participate in projects meetings and with Product Engineers to improve productivity.
• Support improvements in OHSE and Quality departments.

MISSION

Develop and continuously improve production processes in terms of productivity, quality and reduction of associated costs through optimal design with respect to applicable standards.

GENERAL FUNCTIONS

• Define the specification and technologic requirements to be developed for new processes.
• Assure implementation of Ficosa process standards.
• Collaborate in the production problems analysis (productivity and quality) of the plant, proposing appropriate corrective measures for the process improvement through the global standards.
• Participate in the Projects meetings.
• Close cooperation with Product Engineers through application of DFM/A principles in order to increase the productivity of the processes and reduce the associated costs. Participate with active role in the decision for manufacturing workshops.
• Take part in offer processes of new projects, analyzing the product’s design to guarantee their optimum industrialization, and analyze the costs and investments related with the mentioned industrialization.
• Take part in the new products R&D projects by contributing to the necessary solutions from the processes point of view.
• Take part in the Benchmarking teams by contributing in the analysis of matters related to the processes.
• Participate in the research and develop new technologies of the productive processes, with the objective of improving the existing ones.
• Propose improvements for the actual processes standards.
• Support continues improvement activities in the processes in production in the plant of responsibility.
• Observe Ficosa’s Code of Ethics to avoid fraudulent practices. Comply with Information Security Management System (ISMS) applicable to the job, along with the training related thereto.
• Actively cooperate in maintaining, promoting and improving the OHSE and Quality department.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Academic background: Bachelor's degree in electronic, mechanic automotion or similar engineering

Languages: Fluent in local language & Fluent in English (spoken & read & written)

Travel: Willing to travel
