Hunter Douglas, Inc. in Ensenada, Baja California, seeks an Industrial Engineer or related degree holder to join our manufacturing teams. The role emphasizes process control, quality, and continuous improvement, with involvement in new products, cost targets, and safety practices.

You will lead cross‑functional projects, develop drawings and work instructions, support ECOs, and drive productivity, waste reduction, and ergonomic improvements across the line.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, electronics, business management or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Practical experience with MS Office, ERP systems, and documentation.

Responsabilidades

• Establish and implement process control and specifications. Support minor and major projects.
• Investigate and resolve problems related to process performance.
• Improve and optimize continuous processes.
• Lead improvement projects with cross‑functional teams.
• Develop inspection forms for first article and validate second source with 3 Fs.
• Create work instructions, visual aids, graphs, VSM, checklists.
• Support training and technical documentation.
• Support goals for production, costs and quality of main items.
• Experience with product launches.
• Follow up on customer complaints.
• Develop 6 Sigma related processes.
• Create drawings for tolerance interpretation.
• Develop ECOs to correct material lists and inventory accuracy.
• Identify and develop ergonomic and safety improvement projects.
• Lead saving projects, scrap reduction and productivity gains.

Position Overview

What you'll do

• Stablish and implement control and specifications of the processes. Support minor and major projects.
• Investigate and resolve problems that are related to the performance of the processes.
• Do improvements and optimization of the continuous processes.
• Lead improvement projects with the inter functional team.
• Generate forms of inspection of the first article for new pieces and new products, validate the second source with the 3 Fs.
• Develop the documentation instructions for work, visual aids, graphic fluids, VSM, Check lists.
• Support training and technical support for new documentation and specifications.
• Support the goals and objectives of the company for the production, costs and quality of the main items.
• Experience on product launching.
• Follow up on customer complaints.
• Products 6 Sigma.
• Creation of drawings for tolerance interpretation.
• Develop engineer changes (ECO) to correct the material lists and inventory exactitude.
• Identify and develop projects to eliminate the ergonomic and security problems.
• Lead saving projects, scrap waste and increment productivity.

Who you are

• Bachelor’s degree on industrial engineer, electronic, business management or related to.
• Minimum experience of 3 years on a similar job.
• Practical experience on software apps, products and MS Office
• System management of MRP XA, SAP, Epic
• Statistical analysis on processes and products (Paretto, histograms, tren chart, DOE)
• FMEAs, statistics tools, SPC, PDCA, Methodology on 8 D’s, 6 S’s, A3.
