Nemak Spain SL. is seeking a Process Engineer to ensure stable, efficient manufacturing by solving technical and quality issues and driving continuous improvement in close collaboration with Production, Quality, and Maintenance.

The role emphasizes reducing losses to improve OEE, implementing Lean and Six Sigma projects, supporting new product launches, and ensuring safety, environmental, and quality standards.

Formación

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in automotive manufacturing.
  • 2+ years of experience in aluminum casting, machining, and/or assembly processes.
  • 2+ years of experience with APQP and quality assurance processes.
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, MSA, and SPC), and IATF 16949.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and corrective-action skills.
  • Experience in a metallurgical laboratory is preferred.

Responsabilidades

  • Analyze production losses and bottlenecks to improve OEE, cycle times, capacity, and line efficiency.
  • Reduce scrap, rework, and process variation through root cause analysis, SPC, PFMEA, control plans, and corrective actions.
  • Lead cost-saving initiatives focused on materials, labor, energy, consumables, and waste reduction.
  • Implement Lean and Six Sigma projects, including Kaizen events, process audits, and structured problem-solving activities.
  • Support new product launches through process design, trials, PPAP, equipment readiness, and ramp-up stabilization.
  • Ensure manufacturing processes meet safety, environmental, ergonomic, and quality standards.
  • Develop standard work, work instructions, visual aids, and training materials for operators and technicians.
  • Use process data and digital monitoring tools to identify improvement opportunities and validate results.

Process Engineer
Objective

Ensure stable, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing processes by resolving technical and quality issues, implementing corrective actions, and driving continuous improvement in close collaboration with Production, Quality, and Maintenance.

Position Requirements
