IFF seeks a process engineering professional to drive manufacturing excellence in a flavors manufacturing environment based in Tlalnepantla, Mexico. This on-site role focuses on optimizing processes, improving throughput, and delivering measurable improvements across plant operations.

The position requires a minimum of three years in process or manufacturing engineering and strong English communication skills.

Formación

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in process engineering, manufacturing engineering, continuous improvement or operational excellence roles.
  • Experience leading process optimization and productivity improvement projects.
  • Advanced English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsabilidades

  • Lead process improvement initiatives focused on productivity, efficiency, capacity utilization, and operational performance.
  • Develop engineering solutions that optimize manufacturing processes, workflows, and resource utilization across the plant.
  • Manage projects aimed at improving plant performance through time and motion studies, process optimization, and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Analyze process data, identify improvement opportunities, and present recommendations supported by measurable results.
  • Coordinate and support CAPEX projects from planning through execution and implementation.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Conduct benchmarking activities and evaluate best practices, technologies, and engineering tools to support continuous improvement.
  • Support development, qualification, and performance monitoring of external manufacturing partners and tolling operations.
  • Monitor project progress, communicate results to stakeholders, and ensure timely execution of improvement initiatives.

Where You’ll Make a Difference


  • Lead process improvement initiatives focused on productivity, efficiency, capacity utilization, and operational performance

  • Develop engineering solutions that optimize manufacturing processes, workflows, and resource utilization across the plant

  • Support the development, qualification, and performance monitoring of external manufacturing partners and tolling operations

  • Monitor project progress, communicate results to stakeholders, and ensure timely execution of improvement initiatives


What Makes You the Right Fit


  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Food Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in process engineering, manufacturing engineering, continuous improvement, or operational excellence roles

  • Experience leading process optimization, productivity improvement, or manufacturing improvement projects

  • Advanced English communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Experience managing CAPEX projects and coordinating cross-functional teams

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret operational data and develop actionable recommendations

  • Experience working in food, flavors, ingredients, chemical, or related manufacturing industries

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Six Sigma, DMAIC, or other continuous improvement methodologies

  • Green Belt, Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma, Operational Excellence, or equivalent continuous improvement certification is required

  • Proven track record delivering productivity, efficiency, or cost-reduction projects
