Walmart Me@Walmart Global Platform (International) seeks a Principal Engineer to shape how the Me@Walmart platform lands in Mexico, Canada, Chile, and Central America. You will own the technical direction, ensure multi‑market capabilities ship on time and scale, and translate market realities into platform enhancements.

You will coach Staff engineers, publish ADRs/RFCs, and drive parity across markets while reducing incident impact.

Qualifications

• 9+ years software engineering with senior level.
• Built or owned a mobile SDK used by 5+ downstream teams.
• Hands-on native mobile (Kotlin/Jetpack) and cross‑platform (React Native/Flutter).
• Led multi-market/global product rollout to 3+ markets.
• Authored design docs, RFCs, or blogs; coached Staff engineers toward promotion.
• English fluency; Spanish a plus.
• Willing to work with MX Central hours and US overlap.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical direction for Me@Walmart Global Platform (International).
• Define and publish an International Parity Matrix and partner on market rollout plans.
• Own the mini-app/plug‑in extension model and governance.
• Coach Staff engineers and publish ADRs/RFCs; support promo cycles.
• Be escalation owner for platform incidents; drive root-cause taxonomy.
• Reduce international platform incidents year over year.
