Medtronic is actively seeking a seasoned FP&A professional to join the Global Operations and Supply Chain team in a hybrid on-site/off-site capacity. The role focuses on understanding gross margin drivers within the Medical Surgical Portfolio OUs, enabling margin expansion and strong business partnering across functions.

The position emphasizes cross-functional leadership to support AOP and quarterly forecasts, cost visibility, and financial performance commentary to management levels.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree and minimum 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Proven experience leveraging SAP, BPCS, Hyperion Spend, CMR, or similar enterprise systems to drive financial insights and business performance.
  • Strong analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to influence outcomes through data-driven recommendations.

  • Work with OUs and Portfolio to increase visibility to cost drivers within the cost pools and identify opportunities for cost savings.
  • Lead cost roll reconciliation for specific OUs within the MedSurg Portfolio, summarize impact of cost changes and review impact with cross functional teams.

A Day in the Life

This position serves as a valuable member of the Global Operations and Supply Chain (GOSC) FP&A team, working cross functionally to understand and explain Gross Margin drivers specific to the Medical Surgical Portfolio Operating Units (OUs). This position is critical to enable sustainable gross margin expansion while adding value through superior business partnering.

This role will be onsite 4 days/week and one day remote. There is no relocation assistance available for this position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a deep understanding of product costs and key drivers of cost

  • Gather historical information and summarize data to highlight gross margin trends

  • Work cross functionally to collaborate and align strategies across GOSC and the Medical Surgical Portfolio teams

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and minimum 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

  • Proven experience leveraging SAP, BPCS, Hyperion Spend, CMR, or similar enterprise systems to drive financial insights and business performance.

  • Strong analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to influence outcomes through data-driven recommendations.

Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA, CPA, and/or CMA certification preferred.

  • Working knowledge of Project Accounting and financial controls.

  • Experience partnering with operations teams within a manufacturing environment to improve financial and operational performance.

For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$110,400.00 - $165,600.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).
