Medtronic seeks an HR Generalist to design and execute HR strategies across Mexico, Costa Rica, and Panama, serving as the onsite HR contact in Mexico City. You will manage contracts, onboarding, payroll changes, and digital personnel records while ensuring regulatory compliance and smooth HR operations across regions.

The role requires a bachelor's degree and 3+ years in HR, with intermediate English and familiarity with Workday, payroll systems, and compliance duties.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and 3+ years supporting HR areas and processes.
  • Practical knowledge of Mexican labor law, IMSS, INFONAVIT, STPS and REPSE/subcontracting is preferred.
  • Experience with Workday/local HR systems and payroll processes; advanced Excel is advantageous.

Responsabilidades

  • Design, implement, and execute HR strategies for functional groups across Mexico, Costa Rica, and Panama.
  • Onsite HR contact in Mexico City; prepare contracts and addenda; coordinate onboarding and payroll changes.
  • Maintain personnel files; manage Workday/payroll transactions and audits; support labor inspections.
  • Generate headcount reports; coordinate benefits; ensure data privacy and regulatory compliance.

A Day in the Life As HR Generalist you will design, implement, and execute human resources strategies for functional groups, ensuring regulatory compliance, comprehensive employee lifecycle management, and the efficient operation of HR processes across Mexico, Costa Rica, and Panama. Serve as the onsite employee-facing HR contact; prepare contracts and addenda; coordinate onboarding and payroll changes; maintain digital personnel files; manage Workday/payroll-system transactions and audits; support labor/regulatory inspections; maintain headcount and HR reports; coordinate benefits/programs; and identify opportunities to automate manual processes. This role will be onsite in Mexico City. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

Receipt and management of job offers (Kendall and Medtronic) Tracking and preparation of candidate files Preparation of hiring documents: contracts, confidentiality agreements, data privacy notices, GMM enrollment forms, and Life Insurance forms Scheduling of hiring agenda and induction meetings (Payroll, Medical Services, corporate card, vehicle assignment, work tools) Coordination with key areas: Payroll, Medical Services, IT, Direct Managers IMSS enrollment management and Major Medical Expenses (GMM) registration Digitization and filing of employee records (physical and digital) Monthly movement report (Mexico, Costa Rica, and Panama) for Finance Report of active employees, new hires, promotions, role changes, and terminations Headcount platform updates (Workday and Tress System) Turnover reports, organizational charts, and location data Coordination with Payroll for processing of new hires, promotions, and role changes in Tress System Management of movements in Workday (new hires, terminations, salary changes, transfers) Cross-system data validation to ensure consistency Follow-up on data privacy requirements with the Legal department Documentary preparation for labor inspections Other HR activities will be shared.

Required Knowledge and Experience

Bachelor's degree Three years of experience supporting HR areas and processes English: intermediate required (B1/B2; advanced preferred) Proven Mexican labor audit/compliance experience; practical knowledge of Federal Labor Law, IMSS, INFONAVIT, STPS and REPSE/subcontracting Payroll exposure; Workday/local HR systems; Excel/macros, dashboards, SharePoint and digital/AI tools is advantageous.
