Job summary

ETAP in Mexico City is seeking a Power Systems Engineer to join the Engineering Services team. You will conduct power system studies for diverse clients across the Americas and internationally, building and validating electrical models and delivering detailed engineering reports.

You will work closely with ETAP product and engineering teams, gaining exposure to the full lifecycle from design to real-time operation. Hybrid role with 50% in-office presence in Polanco, CDMX.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience performing power system studies, including Load Flow, Short Circuit, and Protection & Coordination.
• Experience with ETAP or comparable power system analysis platforms (PSS/E, SKM, PSCAD).
• Ability to interpret one-line diagrams and build accurate power system models.

Responsibilities

• Build and validate ETAP power system models from one-line diagrams and data.
• Perform Load Flow, Short Circuit, Protection & Coordination, and Arc Flash studies per ANSI/IEEE or IEC standards.
• Prepare professional engineering reports with study results and recommendations.
• Support ETAP eProtect relay asset and settings management.
• Apply State Estimation and Load Distribution to compare results with live data.
• Collaborate with project managers and clients to deliver on time and quality.
