Job summary

ETAP Software in Mexico City seeks a Power Systems Engineer to join the Engineering Services team. You will conduct power system studies for utility, industrial, data center, and critical infrastructure clients across the Americas and internationally.

You will build models, run studies, and deliver reports supporting safety, compliance, equipment selection, and operations decisions. This role offers hybrid work with 50% office presence and opportunities to grow across the full lifecycle of power

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience performing power system studies (Load Flow, Short Circuit, Protection & Coordination).
• Experience with ETAP or comparable power system analysis platform (PSS/E, SKM, PSCAD).
• Advanced English (C1+) due to international clients.
• Knowledge of Arc Flash and related standards (IEEE 1584, NFPA 70E, IEC).

Responsibilities

• Build and validate ETAP power system models from one-line diagrams and data.
• Perform Load Flow, Short Circuit, Protection & Coordination, and Arc Flash studies.
• Prepare professional reports with study results and recommendations.
• Support ETAP eProtect relay asset and settings management.
• Apply State Estimation and Load Distribution for model validation.
• Collaborate with project managers and clients to deliver on time and quality.
