Johnson Controls is a global leader in building technologies, seeking a senior Power Electronics Engineer at its Mexico facility. You will design, test, and maintain power electronics for chiller applications, defining specifications and ensuring compliance through robust documentation.
You will collaborate with global teams, lead troubleshooting of field and factory issues, and travel up to 10% to visit customers, factories, and conferences as required.

Serve as technical expert within Power Electronics Department that is responsible to design, test, and maintain power electronics products and systems for Johnson Controls’ chiller applications. Determine the best techniques, procedures and/or theories as they apply to the development of power electronics products and systems. Create compliance procedures for the development of electrical/electronic circuitry designs. Define and interpret design specifications; design electrical/electronic circuitry to meet specified requirements; and analyzes product design requirements and recommend solutions. Prepare and coordinates the release of documentation to support component design and manufacturing. Participate in all aspects of preliminary design and systems architecture, and conducts analysis of the cost impacts of proposed modifications, upgrades, and new implementations of application software. Conduct feasibility studies and systems analysis for new applications or major modifications of existing systems. Work with other engineers, designers, and technicians on specific work assignments. Forecast and schedule work activities, and defines processes for repetitive tasks. Act as the technical lead for troubleshooting field and factory issues on the range of power electronics products and systems on Johnson Controls’ chillers. Travel to visit customers, Johnson Controls’ factories, vendors, and/or professional conferences as business needs.

Position is located at JCI Cienega Mexico facility.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, schedule-driven, team-oriented environment.
