Job summary

Bosch Group in Querétaro is seeking a software engineer for automation software development and commissioning on manufacturing projects. You will own software deliverables, validate against customer requirements, and ensure alignment with engineering standards and quality processes.

The role involves PLC programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Beckhoff), HMIs/SCADA, MES integration, and cross-functional collaboration with international teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Automation, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Robotics, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in industrial automation and PLC programming.
• Experience in machine commissioning and manufacturing environments.
• Experience coordinating software activities or technical work packages is desirable.
• Advanced English.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, debug, and maintain PLC and automation software according to project specifications and Bosch standards.
• Define I/O structures, communication interfaces, machine sequences, and software architectures.
• Perform software validation, functional testing, commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting activities.
• Support MES integrations, communication networks, and digital manufacturing solutions when applicable.
• Track and resolve software-related issues and open points throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage software version control, backups, and project documentation.
• Support machine acceptance, pre-acceptance, and customer buy-off activities.
• Participation in concept reviews, electrical design reviews.
• Define automation solutions.
