Job summary

Intel Corporation invites applications for an Undergraduate Intern in Platform Design Engineering based in Guadalajara, Mexico. You will contribute to hardware platform development, assisting with design, evaluation, and optimization to ensure performance and manufacturability.

The role offers hands-on projects across PCB layouts, thermal analyses, and data-driven optimization using Python and MATLAB, with on-site collaboration within the Data Center Group.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering with at least 1 year remaining.
• 6+ months of hands-on experience in a related domain through internships, projects, coursework, or training.
• Proficiency in Python and MATLAB for scripting and data analysis.
• Knowledge of lab equipment such as oscilloscopes and multimeters.
• Intermediate English communication.
• Must have unrestricted, permanent right to work in Mexico.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design, evaluation, and selection of board components and PCB layouts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to optimize hardware designs for performance and manufacturability.
• Conduct thermal and mechanical analyses using CFD to support design improvements.
• Perform scripting and programming tasks in Python and MATLAB to analyze data and contribute to design optimization.
• Support board bring-up, debugging activities, and validation efforts to ensure integration with platform requirements.
• Apply knowledge of electrical, thermal, and mechanical principles to enhance platform interactions and system design.
• Participate in team-oriented projects and continuous learning opportunities to build technical skills and stay aligned with industry trends.
