Job summary

Siemens Energy in Guanajuato seeks a Safety and Industrial Hygiene Coordinator to lead plant safety and IH programs, preventing injuries and high-potential events. You will drive operational safety, machine safety, contractor safety, and exposure management across functions, turning Zero Harm principles into measurable performance improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Environmental, Chemical, Safety Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in occupational safety and industrial hygiene within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of Mexican regulations and STPS standards, including inspections or audits.
• Experience with critical-risk programs, LOTO, electrical safety, hot work, and working at heights.
• Experience in incident investigation, root-cause analysis, and safety performance indicators.

Responsibilities

• Lead and continuously improve the plant's occupational safety and industrial hygiene strategy, standards, procedures, and annual action plan across operations, maintenance, and contractor activities.
• Coordinate critical-risk management for electrical safety and LOTO, lifting operations, working at heights, confined spaces, hot work, line breaking, and other high-risk activities; verify controls in the field.
• Lead the machine-safety program across the equipment life cycle, including risk assessments, safeguarding concepts, and modifications management.
• Govern contractor safety and permit-to-work processes, onboarding, risk assessments, field supervision, and escalation of non-compliance; coordinate emergency preparedness and drills.
• Coordinate industrial hygiene programs for chemical, physical, ergonomic, and biological hazards with exposure assessments and monitoring plans.
• Ensure compliance with STPS and corporate requirements; lead investigations, track corrective actions, and develop safety indicators.
