Job summary

PPG Industries in Querétaro, Mexico, seeks an EHS Coordinator to implement and maintain Environmental, Health & Safety programs across our operations, protecting employees, facilities, and the environment while ensuring regulatory compliance.

You will report to the EHS Sr. Manager and travel regularly to facilities in San Luis Potosí, León, and Santiago de Querétaro, delivering training and driving zero-incident initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in an Environmental, Health & Safety role within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of occupational health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements, including applicable labor and environmental legislation.
• Knowledge of risk assessment, incident investigation, and corrective action processes.
• Availability to travel to facilities in San Luis Potosí, León, and Santiago de Querétaro.
• Advanced conversational English.

Responsibilities

• Deliver EHS training programs and ensure employees receive the required safety, health, and environmental training within the scope of the role.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements related to occupational health, safety, and environmental protection.
• Implement and maintain the PPG Safety Management System.
• Coordinate occupational health programs in collaboration with the medical services team.
• Help achieve zero incidents related to injuries and illnesses, environmental spills, fires, actual or serious injury and fatality (aSIF) events, and process safety incidents.
• Implement and sustain corporate EHS programs, and continuous improvement projects across the site.
• Lead inspections, audits, risk assessments, incident investigations, and corrective action follow-up activities to strengthen site EHS performance.
• Ensure compliance with corporate EHS policies, procedures, standards, and certification requirements.
