North American Production Sharing, Inc. in Tijuana, MX, seeks a Plant Manager to lead site operations, drive safety, quality, on-time delivery, and cost targets while partnering with the Head of Operations on infrastructure, machinery, investments, and strategic initiatives.

You will own the site’s P&L, manage budgeting and forecasting, pursue cost reductions, and guide continuous improvement across manufacturing and engineering.

Formación

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing/EMS.
  • Experience managing P&L, budgets, forecasting, and cost reduction.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations, quality systems, and continuous improvement.
  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and drive organizational change.
  • Advanced English proficiency required.

Responsabilidades

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership to achieve business, financial, customer, and organizational objectives.
  • Own and manage the site’s P&L, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, profitability, and capital investment planning.
  • Lead day-to-day operations to ensure safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost targets are consistently achieved.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs, identifying risks and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, waste reduction, process optimization, and cost savings.
  • Oversee the Quality function, ensuring compliance with customer requirements, internal standards, and applicable quality management systems.
  • Lead Process and Manufacturing Engineering activities, including process development, optimization, capacity planning, equipment utilization, and manufacturing readiness.
  • Ensure effective coordination among Operations, Quality, Engineering, and Continuous Improvement teams.
  • Develop and execute strategies to improve operational performance, product quality, customer satisfaction, and overall profitability.
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders, serving as the primary escalation point for significant operational or quality matters.
  • Build and develop a high-performing leadership team through coaching, performance management, succession planning, and accountability.
  • Partner with Human Resources through a dotted-line relationship to support workforce planning, talent development, employee relations, engagement, and compliance.
  • Promote a culture of safety, quality, continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable legal, regulatory, environmental, health, and safety requirements.
  • Provide timely and accurate business performance updates to executive leadership.

Descripción del empleo

The Plant Manager ensures smooth production operations according to official KPIs, in compliance with customer requirements, quality requirements, and standards. Works closely with the Head of Operations regarding infrastructure, machinery, investments, workforce, and strategic initiatives. Mitigates risks and proposes and implements the required improvements and changes.

The role has full accountability for site P&L and works closely with Human Resources through a dotted-line reporting relationship to support organizational development, employee engagement, talent management, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Provide strategic and operational leadership to achieve business, financial, customer, and organizational objectives.

Own and manage the site’s P&L, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, profitability, and capital investment planning.

Lead day-to-day operations to ensure safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost targets are consistently achieved.

Establish and monitor key performance indicators, identifying risks and implementing corrective actions as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

Significant leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, including responsibility for multiple functional areas.

Over 8 years of experience within the EMS industry is required

Demonstrated experience managing P&L, budgets, forecasting, cost reduction, and operational performance.

Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations, quality systems, process engineering, and continuous improvement methodologies.

Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and drive organizational change.

Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.

Experience managing customer relationships and high-level escalations.

Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills.

Advanced English proficiency is required

  • Valid US Visa and availability to travel as required.
