Garrett - Advancing Motion in Mexicali is seeking a senior leader to drive Manufacturing Engineering, Quality and NPI teams. The role focuses on strengthening technical and behavioral competencies, fostering accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement across the plant.

You will drive plant-wide improvements, manage capacity and layout, and ensure compliance with IATF 16949 and ISO 50001 while leading cross-functional alignment for successful product launches.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in a similar leadership role.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and CMMS.
• Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical and communication skills.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is highly desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and develop Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and NPI teams.
• Drive plant-wide continuous improvement using Kaizen, OEE, RTY and lean initiatives.
• Own internal and customer quality processes and lead 8D/CAR problem-solving.
• Lead NPI from manufacturing/quality perspectives and coordinate cross-functional teams.
• Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 50001, and regulatory standards.
• Develop and execute AOP strategies, manage budgets and capital investments.

Leadership & Talent Development

Leads and develops Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and NPI teams, strengthening technical and behavioral competencies aligned with MRR and HR standards while fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.

Manufacturing & Operational Excellence

Drives plant-wide continuous improvement through Kaizen, OEE, RTY, uptime, and lean initiatives. Manages capacity, plant layout, and process optimization aligned with AOP and SIOP to meet customer demand and growth projections.

Quality & Customer Management

Owns internal and customer quality processes, including incoming inspection, metrology, and customer scorecards. Acts as primary customer liaison, ensures compliance with customer specific requirements, and leads 8D/CAR problem‑solving for timely and permanent issue resolution.

NPI & Cross-Functional Alignment

Leads new product introduction from manufacturing and quality perspectives, coordinating with engineering, SQD, and cross‑functional teams to ensure process readiness, component quality assurance, and successful launches.

Management Systems & Compliance

Ensures compliance with IATF 16949 and ISO 50001, oversees PFMEA and process documentation controls, and maintains adherence to legal, regulatory, and HSE standards, including contractor oversight.

Strategic, Financial & Capital Planning

Develops and executes AOP strategies, manages departmental budgets and capital investments, defines metrics and targets, and aligns plant and regional objectives to support sustainable business performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and CMMS platforms.
• Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment reliability, and facility operations.
• Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and decision‑making skills.
• Effective communication and cross‑functional collaboration.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is highly desirable.
