Job summary

WAYON ENERGY is seeking a seasoned Planning/PMC leader to guide S&OP, master production planning and inventory control for IG transformers facility in Irapuato. You will align sales demand with plant capacity, supervise planning and material chiefs, and drive KPI improvements across delivery, inventory turnover and scheduling accuracy.

Fluent English, a 5+ year manufacturing PMC background with at least 3 years leading teams is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Production Management or related fields.
• Fluent English with ability to conduct meetings and emails.
• 5+ years in manufacturing PMC/planning, with at least 3 years in planning team leadership.
• Strong knowledge of S&OP, MPS & MRP logic, and ERP planning modules (SAP/Oracle).
• Experience with inventory control and slow-moving material management; capacity balancing and change management.
• Excellent cross-department coordination to align Sales, Production and Procurement.
• Strong data analysis skills to identify supply chain risks and drive improvements.
• Experience managing planning for large-scale factories (500+ employees) or heavy manufacturing.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Lead S&OP meeting, manage demand review, capacity evaluation and sales-operation balance, release master production strategy, align sales order demand with plant capacity.
• Administer MPS & MRP system. Supervise Planning Chief and Material Chief to execute plans. Resolve urgent issues including order changes, rush orders, material shortage and capacity constraints.
• Inventory Control: Lead inventory strategy formulation. Work together with Planning Chief and Material Chief to control raw material, WIP and finished goods inventory. Develop inventory target, slow-moving & obsolete material prevention & liquidation plan to reduce capital tie-up.
• Cross-functional communication: Main point of contact for Plan Center, collaborate with Sales, Production, Procurement, Quality and Warehouse to resolve delivery bottlenecks and validate order delivery commitment.
• Team management: Build Plan Center organization, define role responsibility, cascade targets, conduct performance review and talent development. Manage existing staff and open positions including 2 Chief roles.
• Process & System Improvement: Optimize PMC workflow, drive ERP planning module adoption, continuously improve KPIs including delivery, planning accuracy and inventory turnover.
• Reporting: Prepare periodic reports for delivery, capacity, inventory and slow-moving stock. Report performance and risk alerts to management.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above, major in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Production Management or related fields is preferred.
• Fluent English communication skills, capable of independent English meetings, email writing and cross-functional business communication.
• Minimum 5 years working experience in manufacturing PMC / planning area, with at least 3 years planning team management experience.
• Solid knowledge of S&OP process, MPS & MRP logic, proficient in ERP planning module (SAP/Oracle etc.).
• Hands-on experience in inventory control and slow-moving material management; familiar with order commitment review, capacity balancing, rush order & change management.
• Strong cross-departmental coordination skills to align Sales, Production and Procurement to resolve delivery bottlenecks.
• Good data analysis capability, able to identify supply chain risks and drive process improvement.
• Experience in planning management for large-scale factory (500+ employees) is preferred; transformer / heavy manufacturing industry experience is a plus.
