Job summary

TE Connectivity Corporation seeks a Planning Supervisor to oversee procurement, inventory control, and production planning. You will monitor performance, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and drive a lean, responsive supply chain in a manufacturing environment.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Supply Chain or related field, 5+ years in planning, strong English, and SAP/MRP experience. Based in TIJUANA, Baja California, Mexico, onsite with limited travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Production Planning, Materials Planning, or related roles.
• Advanced English.
• APICS certification is a plus.
• Strong SAP / MRP knowledge.
• Experience with DRP and distribution planning.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
• Lean Manufacturing and Kanban experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer demand, forecasts, and historical usage to develop build-to-order/forecast plans.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to optimize production planning and economics.
• Ensure on-time delivery by scheduling and addressing issues.
• Develop and manage integrated planning including make-versus-buy, capacity, and inventory.
• Drive continuous improvement in planning efficiency and material flow.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to optimize end-to-end supply chain.
• Identify root causes of supply chain problems and implement corrective actions.

Monitors actual performance against goals and oversees the procurement, inventory control, planning, and quality control of production materials.

Job Requirements

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs analysis of customer demand, sales forecasts and historical material usage to develop and execute build-to-order and build-to-forecast plans.
• Coordinate with cross-functional business teams to develop the best economic strategy for production planning to support customer demand.
• Coordinate and work with quality, engineering, and operations to ensure 100% on-time delivery by establishing and monitoring schedules to proactively identify and address issues.
• Develop, implement and manage a fully integrated planning process that incorporates make-versus-buy decisions, capacity planning, scheduling, inventory, materials and associated cost elements.
• Determines the strategy to comply with STS demand requirements.
• Lead demand planning and forecasting activities to ensure alignment between customer requirements, inventory levels, and production capabilities.
• Monitor actual performance against planning goals and implement corrective actions when needed to meet business objectives.
• Manage inventory levels, storage of purchased materials, and finished goods to support operational requirements while minimizing inventory costs.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives through Lean, Kanban, and Supply Chain optimization tools to improve planning efficiency and material flow.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to optimize end-to-end supply chain performance and ensure material availability.
• Analyze root causes of supply chain and planning issues, providing recommendations and implementing sustainable corrective actions.
• Support and mentor team members while promoting a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

What your background should look like

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Production Planning, Materials Planning, Supply Chain, or related roles.
• Advanced English.
• APICS certification is a plus.
• Strong SAP / MRP knowledge.
• Project Management experience.
• Knowledge of Supply Chain Planning tools.
• Inventory Management experience.
• Experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP).
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and forecasting skills.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Kanban methodologies is highly preferred.
• Molding experience (plus).
• Experience managing supplier relationships and vendor performance is a plus.
