TE Connectivity Corporation in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico, seeks a Supply Chain Planning Lead for external cable NPIs and mass production. You will monitor supply chain performance, drive improvements, and manage risks across planning, procurement, and operations.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 6+ years’ experience. You will utilize SAP planning, advanced Excel, and cross-functional collaboration to optimize delivery, inventory, and cost while traveling 10–25%.

Formación

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Planning, Materials Management, Procurement, or Manufacturing Operations.
  • Solid understanding of Supply Chain and Production Planning concepts: Demand/Forecast Planning, MRP, MPS, Production/Build Planning, Inventory Management, Capacity Planning, Lead Time & Supply Coverage.
  • Working knowledge of SAP, particularly planning and material-management processes.
  • Strong Excel skills: Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, formulas, data analysis, large datasets.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; identify supply gaps, constraints, trends, risks.
  • Ability to coordinate across Planning, Procurement, Operations, Customer Delivery, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication and follow-up skills; escalation of critical issues.
  • Ability to work with multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • English proficiency sufficient to participate in meetings and communicate with global teams.

Responsabilidades

  • Analyze customer demand, forecasts, backlog, and production requirements to identify potential supply and capacity gaps.
  • Monitor material availability, component coverage, lead times, purchase orders, and other supply constraints that may impact the production plan.
  • Support alignment of forecast, capacity, material availability, MPS, and build plans across the planning horizon.
  • Identify supply, capacity, and execution risks early and coordinate actions with Planning, Procurement, Operations, and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain visibility of key customer supply-chain performance, including shortages, coverage, backlog, inventory, production attainment, and delivery risks.
  • Support weekly planning reviews, customer control-tower activities, and cross-functional supply meetings.
  • Track action plans, owners, due dates, and escalations to ensure timely closure of critical supply-chain issues.
  • Perform root-cause and gap analysis and support recovery and mitigation plans.
  • Prepare supply-chain analyses, dashboards, reports, and executive summaries for decision-making.
  • Ensure planning data and assumptions are accurate, aligned, and updated across systems.

Job Overview

Monitors the supply chain performance, identifies trends and risks, and provides recommendations to reduce risk, achieve efficiency and manage cost across the supply chain.

Job Requirements
  • Defining and coordinating the implementation programs, initiatives, and process improvements needed to improve the key strategic Supply Chain KPIs.
  • Coordinating and reporting regional indicators in achieving critical targets like revenue, inventory, overdue reduction, and freight forecast.
  • Collaborating with the local teams in driving lead time reduction programs and defining mitigation plans in case of deviation from execution targets.
  • Executing and utilizing Lean tools for continuous improvement and using advanced planning systems to optimize customer delivery and inventory performance.
What your background should look like
  • Required Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field.
    • 6+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Planning, Materials Management, Procurement, or Manufacturing Operations.
    • Solid understanding of Supply Chain and Production Planning concepts, including:
