Job summary

IFF is a global leader in flavors, fragrances, food ingredients and health & biosciences. The role is hybrid and based in Azcapotzalco, Mexico City. You will partner with Plant Managers to analyze cost development and support budgeting and decision-making.

Maintain standard costing templates, forecast monthly variances, and drive cost efficiency with plant leadership. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in cost analysis in manufacturing and strong English skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 3 years in cost analysis or financial planning in manufacturing.
• Strong English communication skills, written and spoken.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Familiarity with standard costing and ERP systems (SAP).

Where You’ll Make a Difference

• Act as a financial partner to Plant Managers, providing insights into operational performance and cost efficiency.
• Analyze product cost development, unit cost trends, and productivity metrics to support decision-making.
• Coordinate the annual budgeting process at the plant level, focusing on cost, capacity, and product impact.
• Maintain and improve standard costing templates, including governance of material master data.
• Lead monthly production cost variance forecasting in collaboration with plant leadership.
• Ensure strong Standard Costing template with Governance of Material Master etc. Coordinate monthly production cost variance forecast by working closely with the Plant Manager and local leadership.
• Prepare monthly plant reports using global tools and plant-specific analysis.
• Support Integrated Operations initiatives and help plants meet productivity targets.
• Participate in global projects related to process and IT improvements within the Plant Cost Analysis organization.

What Makes You the Right Fit

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• More than 3 years of relevant experience in cost analysis or financial planning within a manufacturing environment.
• Intermediate English profiency, both written and spoken.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Familiarity with standard costing and ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
• Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively with plant leadership.
• Understanding of internal controls and compliance requirements.
• Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
