Job summary

IFF is seeking a Cost Analyst in Mexico City (Azcapotzalco) for a hybrid role. You will partner with Plant Managers, analyze cost development, and coordinate budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to drive productivity and cost efficiency.

You will maintain standard costing templates, govern material data, and prepare monthly plant reports, collaborating with global teams on IT and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3+ years of cost analysis or financial planning in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in English (intermediate) and strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as financial partner to Plant Managers with cost insights.
• Analyze product cost development, unit costs, and productivity metrics.
• Coordinate the annual budgeting process at the plant level.
• Maintain standard costing templates and governance of material master data.
• Lead monthly production cost variance forecasting with plant leadership.

• Support Integrated Operations and help meet productivity targets.
• Participate in global projects related to process and IT improvements.

Where You'll Make a Difference

• Act as a financial partner to Plant Managers, providing insights into operational performance and cost efficiency.
• Analyze product cost development, unit cost trends, and productivity metrics to support decision-making.
• Coordinate the annual budgeting process at the plant level, focusing on cost, capacity, and product impact.
• Maintain and improve standard costing templates, including governance of material master data.
• Lead monthly production cost variance forecasting in collaboration with plant leadership.
• Ensure strong Standard Costing template with Governance of Material Master etc. Coordinate monthly production cost variance forecast by working closely with the Plant Manager and local leadership.
• Prepare monthly plant reports using global tools and plant-specific analysis.
• Support Integrated Operations initiatives and help plants meet productivity targets.
• Participate in global projects related to process and IT improvements within the Plant Cost Analysis organization.

What Makes You the Right Fit

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• More than 3 years of relevant experience in cost analysis or financial planning within a manufacturing environment.
• Intermediate English profiency, both written and spoken.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Familiarity with standard costing and ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
• Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively with plant leadership.
• Understanding of internal controls and compliance requirements.
• Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
