Job summary

Cummins Services – HR Operations in San Luis Potosí, SLP, Mexico, is seeking a Payroll Analyst to support payroll for US and Canadian employees. The role ensures accurate payroll calculations, timeliness, and compliance with internal controls.

Responsibilities include running payroll simulations, data entry for non-interfaces, validating pay, addressing queries, and documenting outcomes. Hybrid work: 3 days on-site, 2 days remote.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years progressive payroll experience for a US multi-state employer with at least 5,000 employees.
• 1 year experience using SAP Payroll or ADP GlobalView (Processing Services model).
• Knowledge of work rules and tax requirements across Federal, State and Local jurisdictions.
• Experience using Service Now or other case management system preferred.
• Highly organized, collaborative, and customer-focused in fast-paced environments.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP and PivotTables.
• Advanced English Level.

Responsibilities

• Run and/or review payroll simulations for on cycle and off cycle payroll runs.
• Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and accuracy.
• Perform data entry for inputs not received through time and HR system interfaces (garnishments, tax adjustments, special payments or deductions).
• Perform calculations to coordinate pay for leaves with external government or benefits programs.
• Perform pre and post payroll validations to account for variances and ensure accuracy of payments.
• Manage escalation of Answers queries and explain pay calculations, tax withholding and other adjustments that affect net pay.
• Document cases with clear, concise comments.
