AgileEngine, LLC. in Mexico is seeking a part-time Data Engineering & Infrastructure Lead to audit AWS architecture, CI/CD processes, and ETL pipeline decisions in an advisory capacity.

Responsibilities include evaluating SageMaker-based ML workflows, reviewing tooling choices, and mentoring the team on engineering standards. The role emphasizes hands-on yet flexible engagement (50% stepping down to 25%), with a focus on cost governance, data integrity, and scalable infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 6+ years hands-on AWS experience across ECS/Fargate, RDS, S3, SageMaker.
• Fluency with Infrastructure-as-code, Terraform.
• Proven track record auditing CI/CD pipelines and SDLC governance.
• Strong data engineering background for ETL/ingestion architecture.
• Experience evaluating AI-assisted development workflows (Claude Code).
• Ability to mentor engineers in a part-time advisory role.

Responsibilities

• Audit AWS architecture across live apps and services.
• Review CI/CD processes and SDLC governance.
• Evaluate Claude Code usage for engineering quality and cost.
• Provide early technical opinions on ETL/data ingestion architectures.
• Mentor day-to-day infra build team.
