AgileEngine is seeking a part-time Data Engineering & Infrastructure Lead to audit AWS architecture, CI/CD processes, and ETL decisions. You will review SageMaker-based MLOps pipelines, weigh managed tooling vs custom builds, and mentor the team on engineering standards.

You will set out recommendations, evaluate Claude Code usage, and report findings directly to leadership, focusing on risk and readiness in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on AWS experience (ECS/Fargate, ECR, RDS, S3, SageMaker).
• Fluency in Infrastructure-as-code (Terraform).
• Proven track record auditing CI/CD pipelines and SDLC governance.

Responsibilities

• Audit AWS architecture across live apps and SageMaker-based pipelines.
• Review CI/CD processes and SDLC governance options.
• Evaluate Claude Code usage for quality and cost governance.
• Advise on ETL/data-ingestion architecture (managed vs custom).
• Mentor infrastructure build team in AWS, DevOps, CI/CD, and data practices.
• Report findings and recommended changes to leadership.
