Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking a part-time Data Engineering and Infrastructure Lead to audit AWS architecture, CI/CD processes, and ETL decisions in an advisory capacity. You will weigh managed tooling against custom builds, review SageMaker-based MLOps pipelines, and mentor the team on engineering standards.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on AWS architecture and operations.
• Fluent with Terraform IaC and AWS services listed.
• Experience designing/auditing CI/CD pipelines and SDLC governance.
• Strong data engineering depth for ETL/ingestion architecture.
• Experience evaluating AI-assisted Dev workflows (Claude Code).
• Part-time advisory capacity with mentoring responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Audit AWS architecture across live applications (ECS/ECR, RDS, S3, VPC, CloudFront, SageMaker).
• Review CI/CD and SDLC governance; advise on environment separation and release gating.
• Evaluate Claude Code for AI-assisted development quality and cost governance.
• Provide early opinions on ETL/data-ingestion architecture (managed vs custom).
• Mentor infrastructure build team; drive AWS, DevOps, and data practices.
• Set recommendations and direction from audit findings to leadership.
