Fortune Brands Innovations, Inc. in Nuevo León, Monterrey, seeks a Packaging Engineer to join the New Innovation Center. You will design, develop and validate packaging solutions from concept through launch, mentoring entry-level engineers and interns as needed.

You will collaborate with internal and external partners to meet cost, sustainability, and product protection goals, while driving continuous improvement across packaging platforms.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering or equivalent packaging engineering experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience.
• Knowledge of packaging processes, ISTA, ASTM, shock & vibration, compression.
• Solution oriented, collaborative, proactive, self-starter and a team player.
• Strong written and verbal communication to engage all levels of the organization.
• Excellent time management to handle several projects simultaneously.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee packaging development from design to performance testing.
• Understand product characteristics, environmental/safety requirements and packaging options.
• Provide solutions to increase packaging efficiency and reduce costs.
• Develop packaging for new programs, including design options, cost estimates and prototyping coordination.
• Collaborate with manufacturing to optimize packaging for assembly.
• Coordinate packaging requirements with Sourcing and suppliers.
• Develop and implement test plans to meet internal/external requirements.
• Assess project risks and communicate issues with stakeholders.
• Maintain packaging data and support new packaging program development.
• Lead cost reductions through new materials, methods, or equipment evaluations.
• Investigate and respond to packaging-related customer/consumer complaints.
• Benchmark competitors and stay current on packaging technologies.
