Fortune Brands Innovations is seeking a Packaging Engineer for our New Innovation Center in Nuevo Leon. You will work with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and validate product packaging from concept to launch, mentoring entry-level engineers and interns.

Your work supports continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives across the portfolio. You will collaborate on packaging solutions that meet cost, sustainability, and protection requirements while aligning with strategic

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience.
• Knowledge of packaging processes, codes, and performance testing (ISTA, ASTM, shock & vibration, compression).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee packaging development process including design, development, and testing.
• Understand product materials, environmental and safety requirements for packaging.
• Provide solutions to increase packaging efficiency and reduce costs.
• Develop packaging for new programs and promotions with cost estimates and prototypes.
• Coordinate with manufacturing to optimize packaging for assembly.
• Coordinate with Sourcing and packaging suppliers on packaging requirements.
• Develop and implement test plans to ensure packaging meets requirements.
• Identify project risks and communicate issues to stakeholders.
• Maintain packaging data for accuracy and accessibility.
• Coordinate design and development of new packaging and programs.
• Assist in cost reductions through evaluation of new materials or methods.
• Investigate and respond to packaging-related complaints.
• Benchmark competitors and stay updated on packaging technologies to lead development.
