Job summary

Flex is seeking an experienced Operations Manager in Guadalajara, South to oversee staffing, inventory, and assembly operations, ensuring production meets KPI and quality standards.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will lead a team, coordinate with other sites, implement HR and safety practices, and drive continuous improvement in electronic manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

• BA/BS or equivalent work experience.
• Intermediate English required.
• Knowledge of production control systems (Serials, flows, traceability).
• Experience in electronic manufacturing.
• People management experience.
• Knowledge of all electronics assembly processes SMT, Test, integration.
• Ability to present information to groups of managers, clients and the public.

Responsibilities

• Manage appropriate staffing and inventory levels.
• Oversee the assembly operations to meet KOI/ KPIs.
• Supervise production staff on work method and quality checkpoints.
• Coordinate with other departments and Flex sites to drive for excellence.
• Coordinate procurement, production and engineering services policies and practices.
• Ensure ISO and safety standards are adhered to.
• Report to Senior Management in weekly reviews.
• Coach and mentor Operations team.
• Leverage industry practices and apply to internal systems and processes.
• Implement HR strategies to recruit and retain qualified workforce.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, Operations Manager role involves Responsible for effectively managing all strategic operational processes and resources and managing an organization to achieve and maintain operational excellence.

What a typical day looks like:

• Manage appropriate staffing and inventory levels.
• Oversee the assembly operations to meet corporate KOI.
• Supervise production staff on work method and quality checkpoints.
• Coordinate with other departments and other Flex sites to drive for excellence.
• Coordinate efforts of operations team by establishing procurement, production and engineering services policies and practices.
• Ensure ISO and safety standards are adhered to.
• Report to Senior Management team in weekly operations reviews.
• Coach and mentor Operations team.
• Leverage industry practices and apply to internal systems and processes.
• Implement appropriate HR strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
