Nemak, ubicado en Monterrey, México, busca un líder de operaciones para dirigir y optimizar la producción de sand cores en un complejo automotriz. El rol exige gestión de seguridad, calidad y productividad, con foco en mejora continua y desarrollo de equipos.

Se requieren 5–8 años en manufactura automotriz y 3–5 años dirigiendo operaciones; se valora experiencia en Lean Six Sigma y liderazgo de grandes equipos.

Formación

• Educación en Ingeniería Industrial, Mecánica, Metalúrgica, de Materiales o similar.
• Experiencia: 5–8 años en manufactura automotriz y 3–5 años liderando operaciones de producción de sand cores.
• Habilidades técnicas: procesos Cold Box y Hot Box, IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, SPC, MSA, Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, OEE, SMED, SAP, Excel avanzado y Power BI.
• Liderazgo: capacidad de dirigir equipos, desarrollo de talento, pensamiento analítico y resolución de problemas.
• Idiomas: inglés PROFICIENTE.
• Preferencia: Lean Six Sigma Green Belt o superior y experiencia dirigiendo equipos de 50–200 personas.

Responsabilidades

• Liderar y asegurar el cumplimiento de los programas de producción, balance de capacidad y objetivos de productividad.
• Supervisar procesos de Cold Box y Hot Box para lograr excelencia operativa.
• Impulsar el desempeño de calidad conforme a IATF 16949 y reducción de defectos.
• Promover una cultura de cero accidentes y manejo seguro de químicos y cumplimiento ambiental.
• Implementar mejoras continuas mediante Lean, Kaizen y proyectos de automatización.
• Desarrollar, coachar y liderar equipos de producción para alcanzar objetivos y fortalecer capacidades.

Objective

This position is responsible for leading and optimizing sand core manufacturing operations, ensuring the safe, efficient, and cost-effective production of cores that meet automotive quality standards while supporting on-time delivery to molding and casting operations.

Main Responsibilities

• Lead and ensure compliance with production schedules, capacity balancing, and productivity targets.
• Oversee Cold Box and Hot Box manufacturing processes, ensuring operational excellence.
• Drive quality performance through compliance with IATF 16949 standards and defect reduction initiatives.
• Promote a zero-accident culture and ensure safe handling of chemicals and environmental compliance.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives through Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and automation projects.
• Develop, coach, and lead production teams to achieve business objectives and strengthen talent capabilities.

Position Requirements

• Education: Industrial, Mechanical, Metallurgical, Materials Engineering, or related field.
• Experience: 5-8 years in automotive manufacturing and 3-5 years leading sand core production operations.
• Technical Skills: Cold Box & Hot Box processes, IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, SPC, MSA, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, OEE, SMED, SAP, Advanced Excel, and Power BI.
• Leadership Skills: Team leadership, talent development, analytical thinking, problem solving, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Languages: Proficient English required
• Preferred: Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (or higher) and experience leading teams of 50-200 employees.
