GEA Group in Mexico City seeks an experienced Filling & Packaging Service Engineer – Automation to provide expert automation and controls support during service interventions, maintenance, troubleshooting, and startup of filling and packaging equipment.

You will ensure reliable machine performance, support customers on-site and remotely, and collaborate with mechanical and process teams to achieve safety and quality standards.

Formación

• Engineering degree in Industrial, Electrical, Automation, or Mechatronics.
• English proficiency (B2).
• 3+ years of experience as an automation engineer in Filling & Packaging.
• Experience with PLC programming and automation hardware.
• Knowledge of Siemens, Rockwell, and codesys platforms.
• Experience with SCADA (Siemens, Schneider, Wonderware, Rockwell).

Responsabilidades

• Provide automation support during preventive and corrective maintenance of filling and packaging machines.
• Diagnose and resolve PLC, HMI, sensors, actuators, servo/drive systems, and network issues.
• Support startup and commissioning activities including validation of interlocks and safety circuits.
• Prepare service reports, and update machine configurations and technical documentation.
• Train operators and maintenance staff on basic diagnostics and troubleshooting of filling automation.
• Ensure compliance with safety, LOTO, and quality standards during interventions.
• Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and process engineers for aligned service execution.
