Job summary

Flex South Site, Mexico seeks an NPI Manager to lead new product introductions and transfers, coordinating across engineering, operations and management to meet timelines and budgets.

You will establish schedules, define technical requirements, and maintain project controls while interfacing with customers to convey specifications and constraints. Fluent English/Spanish is preferred; prior medical devices experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience.
• Strong communication skills in English and Spanish.
• Project Management knowledge.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams (CFT).
• Full project management including transfers, NPIs, Proto, Production Ramp Up.
• Experience in medical devices with regulatory understanding (FDA QSR).
• Operations and budget management experience.
• Project design and lifecycle management.
• Cross-functional team leadership.
• Financial management and cost control.
• Process and technology development.
• P&L, budgets, fixed costs and quotations (NPI & Mass Production).
• Decisive leadership with ability to build business alliances.
• Leadership, coaching and team-building abilities.
• Lean manufacturing culture.
• Collaboration with other areas.
• Experience in the medical industry.

Responsibilities

• Establish project schedule, financial parameters and technical requirements for NPIs and transfers.
• Communicate requirements and budgets to cross-functional teams and management.
• Review daily production schedule and identify issues.
• Provide technical support to project team to resolve issues.
• Develop status reports including project financials and customer requirements.
• Maintain project plan documents and deliverables.
• Present technical information on projects and schedules.
• Assist in managing larger projects/programs.
• Coach and guide junior Project/PMs to meet policies.
• Suggest policy changes impacting subordinate groups.
• Interact with customers and peers; occasionally with senior management.
