Job summary

Flex South Site, Mexico seeks an NPI Manager to lead new product introductions and transfers, coordinating across engineering, operations and management to meet timelines and budgets.

You will establish schedules, define technical requirements, and maintain project controls while interfacing with customers to convey specifications and constraints. Fluent English/Spanish is preferred; prior medical devices experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience.
• Strong communication skills in English and Spanish.
• Project Management knowledge.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams (CFT).
• Full project management including transfers, NPIs, Proto, Production Ramp Up.
• Experience in medical devices with regulatory understanding (FDA QSR).

Responsibilities

• Establish project schedule, financial parameters and technical requirements for NPIs and transfers.

• Develop status reports including project financials and customer requirements.
• Maintain project plan documents and deliverables.
• Present technical information on projects and schedules.
• Assist in managing larger projects/programs.
• Coach and guide junior Project/PMs to meet policies.
• Suggest policy changes impacting subordinate groups.
• Interact with customers and peers; occasionally with senior management.

Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a NPI Manager located in Flex South Site, Mexico.

Reporting to the Director, Operations, the NPI Manager will be responsible to establish project schedule, financial parameters and technical requirements, managing project from initiation through transfer and sustaining of the account. Communicate customer requirements, specifications, project schedule, and budget constraints to cross-functional teams, including engineers, senior management and consultants and review daily production schedule and identify problem areas.

What a typical day looks like:

• Establish project schedule, financial parameters and technical requirements, managing project from initiation through transfer.
• Communicate customer requirements, specifications, project schedule, and budget constraints to cross-functional teams, including engineers, senior management and consultants.
• Review daily production schedule and identify problem areas.
• Assess causes of problems and provide technical support and direction to project team to resolve issues.
• Develop status reports, including project financials, ensuring project team is meeting customer requirements and measuring cost control.
• Maintain project plan documents, procedures and project deliverables.
• Conduct presentations of technical information concerning specific projects/schedules, etc.
• Assist in the management of larger projects/programs.
• Provide advice to lower level Project/Product Managers to achieve goals in accordance with established policies.
• Recommend changes to policies which may affect subordinate organization(s).
• Interact frequently with customers and/or functional peer group managers. May interact with senior management; frequently interact with middle management and individual contributor groups.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Bachelor´s degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience
