Job summary
Aptiv is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for New Products in Mexico. You will lead NPI from prototype through full-volume production, coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability and on-time launches. You will validate processes, reduce costs, and drive action on quality and efficiency improvements across ERP-enabled programs.
The role requires 3+ years in NPI within electronics, strong problem-solving, and advanced English communication. Automotive exposure is a plus.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required in a related field.
- Advanced English communication skills (spoken and written).
- Minimum 3 years of NPI experience in electronics manufacturing.
- Automotive industry experience is desirable.
- Strong knowledge of PCB assembly processes and SMT/wave soldering.
- Experience implementing ECO/ECN changes.
- Familiar with APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans and MSA.
- Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement exposure.
- Knowledge of IPC-A-610 standards.
- Experience with root cause analysis and CAPA systems.
- Ability to analyze data in ERP and drive improvements.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate new product launches from prototype to mass production.
- Provide manufacturing support and coordinate NPI project plans.
- Act as technical focal point during new product implementation.
- Develop risk mitigation strategies to ensure successful launches.
- Support process validation for PCB assemblies and samples.
- Identify cost-reduction opportunities and optimize designs for manufacturability.
- Coordinate industrialization, process development, and validation activities.
- Prepare technical docs and status reports for management review.
- Participate in KPI reviews, MRVA, and operations meetings.
- Drive corrective actions for production builds and audits.
