Aptiv in Matamoros, Mexico seeks a Manufacturing Process Engineer for NPI to support product launches from DV to mass production. You will apply DFM/DFA, validate processes, and collaborate with design teams to optimize assembly and test fixtures for electronics.

Responsibilities include PFMEA, MSA/GR&R, DoE, Cp/Cpk, and leading MQ phases to ensure readiness of equipment and documentation, driving improvements in cycle time, yield, and automation.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience in electronics.
• Experience in New Product Introduction is a must.
• Experience in automotive industry.
• Advanced English.
• Knowledge of IATF 16949 and VDA 6.3 standards.
• Experience with APQP methodologies and product launch processes.
• Familiarity with IPC-A-610 for PCB assembly quality.
• Concept design and validation of fixtures for electronics manufacturing.
• Experience with automated and semi-automated assembly systems.
• Hands-on support for equipment acceptance and process validation: GR&R, MSA, DoE, Cp/Cpk
• Development of PFMEA including reverse PFMEA; PFD; Control Plans; Work Instructions; PM plans
• Strong knowledge of assembly automation, SMT, and traceability systems
• Experience with root cause analysis tools (5 Whys, Ishikawa, Pareto)

Responsabilidades

• Support product launches from development validation through mass production.
• Apply DFM/DFA to ensure efficient, scalable manufacturing processes.
• Provide engineering support for prototypes and builds; identify issues.
• Participate in MQ1 and MQ2 to ensure readiness of equipment and processes.
• Conduct manufacturability reviews to identify risks and cost reductions.
• Collaborate with design teams to optimize product architecture for assembly.
• Drive design improvements to reduce cycle time and errors.
• Ensure alignment between product design and production constraints during NPI.
• Conduct PFMEA and Reverse PFMEA before mass production.
• Lead escalation in PDT meetings and drive KPI improvements (OEE, yield).
• Participate in MRVA, operations reviews and quality meetings.
• Coordinate with Industrial Engineering on capacity planning and sourcing.
• Support equipment supplier release MQ1/MQ2 and acceptance activities.
• Execute capability plans including MSA and GR&R; develop PFMEA, PFD, Control Plans.
• Define equipment setup, spare parts, and maintenance strategies.
• Perform strain measurements and process validation activities.
• Define traceability for products and manage equipment transfer/setup.
