Job summary
Corning is seeking an NPI Engineer II in Reynosa to lead new product introductions and coordinate transitions from development to manufacturing. You will work with Product Development, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure readiness, qualification, and successful release of products to production.
You will analyze data, create manufacturing documentation, and drive process qualifications while focusing on quality, cost, and performance targets.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
- 2+ years of NPI, product or manufacturing engineering experience.
- Experience supporting product launches or tech transfers.
- Strong knowledge of SPC/MSA and other statistical tools.
- Experience with Minitab or equivalent.
- Strong project management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Advanced English proficiency (written and verbal).
Responsibilities
- Lead NPI projects and transfers from concept to production release.
- Translate requirements into manufacturing processes and controls.
- Plan and execute product/process qualifications and analyze data.
- Create and maintain manufacturing docs: work instructions, specs.
- Coordinate tooling, fixtures, test equipment, and training.
- Lead root-cause investigations using structured problem solving.
- Manage deliverables, timelines, risks, and stakeholder communications.
- Collaborate with suppliers, development, manufacturing, and QA.
- Drive Lean/Six Sigma DMAIC to improve safety, quality, cost.
- Promote compliance and documentation discipline across launches.
