Job summary

Kohler Reynosa is seeking an Engineering Technician II for New Product Integration to support prototype builds and line trials. You will collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Product Engineering, Quality, Operations, and NPD teams to drive safe, efficient launches and document process requirements.

Strong English and hands-on skills are essential. You will help draft SOPs, manage materials, and ensure readiness from prototype to manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mechanical, electrical, industrial, or a related technical field required.
• 1–3 years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, quality, or NPI environment; product launches/line trials/prototype builds preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret product specs, CAD layouts, wiring schematics, blueprints, BOMs, process docs, and technical drawings.
• Hands-on experience with diagnostic equipment, multimeters, hand tools, precision measuring devices, prototyping equipment, and manufacturing support tools.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, trial builds, defect logging, root-cause support, and basic quality improvement methods.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) to document trial activity and reports.
• Fluent conversational English; able to participate in live project meetings with international teams.

Responsibilities

• Prototype assembly of early-stage product prototypes.
• Lead and execute manufacturing line trials for new products to check baseline safety, quality, scrap and yield.
• Document and track anomalies, defects, or issues identified during initial trials.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Eng. and QA to isolate root causes of early build failures.
• Draft clear SOPs and manufacturing work instructions for factory staff.
• Ensure equipment and lines are safe and meet baseline configurations post-trial.
• Maintain inventories of materials and samples from NPI trials.
• Follow up sample shipments and ensure on-time material delivery.
• Prepare NPI build reports and present results after trials.
• Participate in Tier II and NPI meetings and share status.
