Caterpillar in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico is seeking a skilled Inventory/Materials Coordinator within the Supply Chain and Logistics domain. The role emphasizes maintaining inventory flow, coordinating orders, and serving as the primary customer-facing contact for lead times and schedule changes.

You will work with various departments to align priorities, manage staff performance in materials handling, and optimize stock levels via inventory software.

Formación

• Knowledge of inventory management for raw materials, WIP and finished goods.
• Ability to recognize and resolve organizational, operational, or process problems.
• Ability to evaluate processes and drive improvements for efficiency.
• Knowledge of supply chain principles and logistical processes.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain target inventory levels to ensure material flow from supply chain to manufacturing.
• Supervise and coordinate new sales orders while communicating downstream actions.
• Serve as primary contact for customer inquiries regarding lead times, timelines, and changes.
• Collaborate with other departments to align sales and customer priorities.
• Ensure inventory stockroom environment meets product requirements.
• Manage staffing, development, and performance of materials staff; ensure labor relations.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels and analyze stock needs with reporting.
• Coordinate maintenance and support of inventory management software.
• Identify problems, document resolutions, and develop alternative approaches.
• Define critical workflows, identify process problems, and drive controls for efficiency.
• Discuss supply chain considerations and participate in analysis to spot improvements.
