AWP Genie Mexico in Monterrey seeks a Software Engineering Manager to lead an embedded software team across two global scrum teams, guiding delivery from development to field support. You will balance people leadership with technical direction and stay connected to engineering work.

In this role you will drive architectural discussions with US partners, advance modern stacks like ROS 2, FreeRTOS, and embedded Linux, and grow Monterrey's software capability for global operations.

Formación

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 2+ years leading engineers (people management).
• Fluent in English for daily technical communication.
• Experience working with distributed cross-cultural teams.
• Experience delivering complex software projects using Scrum or similar agile methodologies.

Responsabilidades

• Lead, coach and develop a team of embedded software engineers across two scrum teams.
• Oversee engineering work from new product development to production and field support.
• Ensure sprint commitments are met and promote Scrum practices across distributed teams.
• Collaborate daily with US-based engineers, product owners, and tech leads on priorities and architecture.
• Provide technical guidance on embedded software in C/C++, FreeRTOS, embedded Linux; participate in code reviews.
• Drive hiring, onboarding, and development for Monterrey software talent; foster an inclusive culture.
