Job summary

Ford México is seeking a Software Validation Engineer to design and execute automated tests for native mobile features in the Ford app, with an initial focus on native commerce, in-app purchases, storefront and subscriptions.

You will join a small QA team, work across Android and iOS, leverage XCTest/XCUIAutomation, Jetpack Compose Test API, and Espresso, and collaborate with the Lead to grow your skills while ensuring robust quality in CI/CD environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE/EE or related field.
• 2–3 years of software QA/testing experience with mobile app testing (Android and/or iOS).
• Working knowledge of XCTest/XCUIAutomation (iOS) and Jetpack Compose Test API + Espresso (Android) or ability to ramp up quickly.
• Familiarity with Git and JIRA for version control and defect tracking.
• Advanced English skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated mobile tests.
• Execute test coverage for in-app purchase and subscription flows.
• Log, track, and help manage defects in JIRA.
• Run test suites within CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions).
• Collaborate with devs to translate features into test cases.
• Support Android and iOS testing in a small QA team.
