Job summary

Walmart de México y Centroamérica is seeking a QA Lead to own the test strategy across multiple initiatives, balancing rapid regression sign-off with comprehensive coverage. You will build and maintain web E2E suites using TestCafe and TypeScript, and mobile automation with R2-based frameworks on Appium.

You will monitor test health via Grafana dashboards, drive manual regression efforts, and mentor a distributed QA team across PST/IST time zones.

Qualifications

5+ years in QA with ownership of manual regression and test automation.
Hands-on experience with TestCafe and TypeScript for web E2E automation.
Hands-on experience with Appium-based mobile automation frameworks (e.g. R2 or YAML-driven).
Familiarity with Grafana for test/observability dashboards.
Experience managing or leading a distributed QA team across timezones.
Proficiency with Jira (test case management, sprint tracking) and Confluence (test plans, status reporting).
Experience with regression testing and sign-off processes and issue management.
Strong communication skills to report status to leadership and coordinate with engineering, product, and program management.

Responsibilities

Own test strategy for one or more initiatives, balancing coverage against regression sign-off timelines.
Build and maintain E2E automation suites for web using TestCafe with TypeScript, and for mobile using R2 (YAML-based, built on Appium).
Monitor test execution health and trends via Grafana dashboards.
Drive manual regression execution and issue triage for web and app surfaces, coordinating across PST/IST contributors.
Track and report initiative status, blockers, and effort allocation.
Mentor and provide technical direction to manual and automation testers on the team.
