Job summary

Cognizant Mexico is seeking an Advanced Mobile Test Analyst to validate automotive mobile apps on Android and iOS in a hybrid work model. You will design and execute manual tests, develop automation, ensure safety-critical workflows, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and prepare release-ready quality reports.

Ideal candidates have 5–9 years of software testing experience focused on mobile apps and automotive V&V, with ISTQB Foundation Level preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–9 years in software testing with mobile apps.
• Hands-on automotive V&V including safety expectations and connected vehicle ecosystems.
• Testing Android mobile applications including installation, configuration, permissions, and troubleshooting.
• Testing iOS mobile applications including provisioning, certificates, device management, and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product owners and developers to refine automotive mobile app requirements for Android and iOS.
• Design verification and validation strategies for automotive mobile solutions (functional, integration, regression, and system testing).
• Develop detailed test scenarios and test cases for mobile apps in automotive contexts (safety workflows, connectivity, in-vehicle interaction).
• Execute manual tests for Android and iOS automotive apps across devices and OS versions, documenting results with evidence and defect reports.
• Create and maintain mobile test automation suites using industry standard frameworks to increase coverage and repeatability.
• Analyze test results and defect trends to identify root causes and suggest improvements in design, code, or test approach.
• Coordinate with automotive domain experts and backend teams to validate end-to-end flows (telematics, remote commands, OTA).
• Perform non-functional testing for mobile apps (performance, responsiveness, battery impact, network resilience).
• Support integration and smoke testing during releases to meet acceptance criteria for hybrid deployments.
• Prepare clear test reports, dashboards, and release readiness summaries for stakeholders.
• Participate in code reviews of test automation and suggest optimizations for stability and maintenance.
• Engage in continuous improvement by refining test processes and sharing best practices across teams.
• Coordinate occasional travel for on-site validation and field testing when required.
