Airwallex is seeking a Manager, Regulatory Compliance (Mexico) to lead regulatory engagement and licensing for the Mexico market. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance, manage regulator relationships, and guide the first line on policy, controls, and processes.

This hybrid role requires in-office Mexico City attendance and fluency in Spanish and English. You will contribute to the regional regulatory strategy, coordinate exams, and deliver the Compliance Monitoring

Formación

• 6 years of regulatory compliance experience in a financial institution, FinTech, legal / consulting firm, or combination of the above.
• CNBV certification as Oficial de Cumplimiento (regulatory / PLD‑FT) required.
• Familiarity with financial regulatory laws, rules, regulations and industry best practices in Mexico and the Americas region.
• Data proficiency - ability to work with data and leverage it for strategic decision-making.
• Ability to operate strategically and think creatively to solve complex regulatory compliance challenges.
• Superior communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex topics to regulators, leadership, and staff.
• Experience with developing or maintaining a compliance program within a financial institution, preferably in respect of payments activity.
• Exposure to licensing processes, regulatory expansion, and RegTech or technology-driven compliance solutions.
• Understanding of financial products and related conduct risk, ethics, and controls.
• Fluency in Spanish and English is essential in both written and verbal communication

Responsabilidades

• Lead regulatory engagement for Airwallex in the region.
• Own licensing obligations and regulator relationships across the business.
• Coordinate cross-functional execution to deliver filings, renewals, and regulatory exams end-to-end.
• Assess new and existing products and ensure 2LOD controls are fit for purpose.
• Strengthen customer-facing and back-office processes in line with regulatory expectations.
• Deliver the Compliance Monitoring Program with reviews and oversight.
• Drive compliance capability through training and targeted projects.
