Airwallex seeks an INFOSEC Governance, Risk and Compliance Regional Specialist to anchor security for Mexico City, coordinating with the global Security team. You will lead regulatory liaison, policy design, and controls implementation while balancing regional needs with global standards.

The role requires hands-on security skills and strong collaboration across Legal, Engineering, and business units. The position is based in Mexico City or San Francisco, full-time, with focus on risk

Formación

• 5-7 years of cybersecurity experience with ability to work independently.
• Must hold a Mexican Tax ID (RFC) or dual Mexican citizenship.
• Fluent in English and Spanish, written and spoken.
• Fintech experience is highly desirable.
• Deep knowledge of PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, SOC2 and similar standards.
• Understanding of security audits and compliance.
• Familiarity with cloud environments and security controls.

Responsabilidades

• Act as regional anchor for Mexico City, aligning with global security effort.
• Serve as a trusted contact for Mexican regulatory bodies, customers, partners, vendors.
• Manage implementation and monitoring of security controls to high standards.
• Apply AI and automation to streamline compliance and security work.
• Develop and maintain security documentation, standards, dashboards, and evidence artefacts.
• Serve as subject matter expert on security compliance for the Mexico region.
• Perform hands-on security tasks in the region as needed.
• Drive initiatives with project management experience, avoiding rigid methods.
