Job summary

Moderna Therapeutics in Mexico is seeking a Senior Manager, Finance to lead local statutory, financial and tax activities and to serve as the company’s authorized Legal Representative for Moderna Mexico. You will partner with cross‑functional teams to ensure governance, compliance and robust financial controls across the affiliate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Tax, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• CPA, public accountant qualification or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 8–10 years of progressive experience in Mexican finance, tax, accounting, payroll, social security, treasury or statutory compliance roles, ideally in a multinational environment.
• Strong working knowledge of SAT requirements, e‑Firma, SAT tax mailbox obligations, electronic accounting, local tax filings and statutory reporting processes.

Responsibilities

• Act as the authorised Legal Representative for Moderna Mexico, handling statutory representation and governance.
• Lead local tax registration, filings, notices and statutory communications with SAT.
• Oversee monthly electronic accounting obligations (trial balance, journal entries, financial statements) and reconciliations.
• Coordinate payroll, social security filings with IMSS, INFONAVIT and FONACOT.
• Establish and manage local banking relationships and internal controls over payments and reconciliations.
• Partner with regional and global Finance teams to ensure alignment with corporate governance.
