Vertiv in Mexicali, Mexico is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to support global design engineering for new product development, VAVE and improvement projects. You will work on concept design, BOM structures, and CAD modeling using SolidWorks and CREO.

The role requires 1–3 years of hands-on CAD experience in sheet metal, strong 3D modeling skills, and ability to work independently within PM processes.

• Minimum Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering with relevant exposure to design environment.
• 1-3 years of experience on Solidworks or similar CAD platform in Sheet metal domain.

Responsabilidades

• Design engineering support for NPD, VAVE and improvements.
• Create 3D models, assemblies, drawings and BOM structures in SolidWorks/CREO.
• Develop parts and assemblies; generate detailed design packages.
• Work independently with minimal supervision and adhere to PM processes.
• Coordinate with teams to ensure quality and timely delivery.

Job Description

Brief Job Description

• To work in Global Environment for Design Engineering support activities for New Product development, VAVE and Improvement projects.
• To Work on projects/assignments (short or long term) such as on Concept design, NPD, Bills of Materials, CAD Modelling & its detailing (using Solidworks & CREO Tools) & Change Orders to maintain desired quality levels set by organization.
• Work on design and developments of part/assembly & Provide design packages including 3D models, assemblies, drawings, and BOM structures.
• Must also be able to work independently with little guidance.
• Adherence to project management process set by organization.

Responsibilities and Measurement Criteria with Time investment Needed on Each

• Minimum Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering with relevant exposure to design environment.
• 1-3 years of experience on Solidworks or similar CAD platform in Sheet metal domain is a must.
• Must have good working experience in 3D modelling and detailing work on Solidworks or similar CAD with experience on generating Bills of Materials. Should also possess relevant experience and understanding of CO or ECN process.
• Working experience on any PLM tools. Agile or PD cloud will be added advantage.
• Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication process will be an added advantage.
• Experience on telecom/electrical enclosure design is added advantage.
• Good Interpersonal skills & ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken English.
• Self-motivated, disciplined, passionate, Willingness to learn and organized.
• Experience in handling large CAD assemblies in SOLIDWORKS or similar CAD and managing modifications as required.
• Working experience on External Simplified representation will be an added advantage.
