Advanced Energy in Mexicali is seeking a Mechanical Engineer II to lead mechanical design and development from concept through production. You will own complete designs, perform analyses, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure performance and reliability.

The role requires strong CAD and thermal analysis skills, experience guiding projects, and a drive to optimize manufacturability and cost. Mentoring junior engineers and supporting NPI are also expected.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of mechanical design and product development experience.
• Advanced CAD design and engineering drawing proficiency.
• Advanced knowledge of thermal analysis and cooling system design.
• Experience leading projects and cross-functional teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Own complete mechanical designs for new product development projects.
• Lead product development activities from concept, design, validation, and production release.
• Perform thermal analysis, structural analysis, and design optimization to ensure product reliability and performance.
• Act as Product Owner for assigned products and projects, driving technical decisions throughout the product lifecycle.
• Lead design reviews, risk assessments, and engineering change activities.
• Drive DFM, DFA, and cost reduction initiatives to improve manufacturability and efficiency.
• Collaborate with customers and cross-functional teams to define requirements and resolve technical issues.
• Manage supplier interactions related to components, materials, and product qualification.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
• Support NPI, factory transfers, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead innovation efforts and drive engineering projects that enhance product performance and competitiveness.
