Job summary

Eaton’s IS VEH EMBdivision is seeking a Mechanical Jr Support for documents control on a temporary 4‑month assignment in Baja California, Mexico. You will migrate and control technical documentation, ensuring accurate transfer of engineering drawings from external suppliers into corporate formats and standards.

You will review, update, and document critical characteristics, manage revision control, and coordinate with Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and external suppliers to resolve

Qualifications

• Current student, intern, or recent graduate in Mechanical or related field.
• 0-2 years of experience in engineering documentation or document control.
• Basic understanding of mechanical drawings and GD&T.
• Familiarity with revision control processes and technical documentation management.
• Able to read and interpret product specifications and engineering requirements.

Responsibilities

• Migrate drawings from external formats into established corporate formats and standards.
• Review and validate technical information contained in drawings for accuracy and completeness.
• Update drawings with dimensions, tolerances, and manufacturing notes as needed.
• Identify, verify, and document critical product and process characteristics.
• Maintain drawing and document revision control and traceability.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and suppliers to resolve discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with drawing standards, nomenclature, coding practices, and document control requirements.
• Generate migration records and reports and identify risks and corrective actions.
• Support release, update, and maintenance of documentation in document management systems.
• Participate in technical product reviews to define dimensional requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Maintain organized databases of drawings and specifications.
• Adhere to document control procedures and organizational quality requirements.
